I was rudely awoken this morning by the loud ringing of a single clear bell. At first I found it difficult to hide my annoyance, but that feeling soon left me when I was reminded by Gandalf that there was a secret Council meeting this morning.
Now it has been said that I enjoy a good gossip and could tell tales and stories from morning until night-fall, but I tell you what, one of Elrond’s meetings truly does go on. With no break for food! It did give me the opportunity however to tell all the attendees of my great quest, to which there was much applause. I also obtained the permission of Elrond to continue with my journey.
After the meeting was finished I felt very tired, but did take the opportunity to enjoy a glass of wine or four in the Hall of Fire. Such beautiful music, with the odd poem (some very odd!) by Master Bilbo.
Well from now until 26th December, my adventures will be a bit limited, as Frodo rested for a few months in Rivendell. I will however continue to post in this time, as I visit the various key places of Imladris, and possibly retrace some of Aragorn and the Sons of Elrond’s journeys in providing assurance that the Nazgul are not to be found. Hmmmm, or maybe I will just enjoy two months of relaxation. What a choice!
