I woke up in a particularly hot sweat. Apparently I have been asleep for a fair few days. Most of which I gather was fairly peaceful slumber, although on a few occasions it is apparent that I was talking in my sleep. A few concerned mumblings about the safety of Rubyrae, shoulder injuries and I was told that I also on numerous occasions requested ale.
Anyway, the reason for my startled awakening was a particularly scary dream that I was having where my fellow kin member Hesgarlaf had his head turned in to a pumpkin. Of course any dream about Hesgarlaf would be quite scary, but this one particularly so! The thought of it also made me feel slightly peckish, as I do love a good slice of pumpkin.
I was pleasantly surprised to find that the pain in my shoulder had gone. Apparently Elrond himself had worked his wonders on the flesh wound. Most kind!
Anyway, I feel quite refreshed, and think I may take the opportunity to stroll around Rivendell tomorrow. Although Gandalf has told me that I am due to attend some meeting or other. They do have a habit of being long drawn out affairs these meetings!
