After a short stroll, I found my way to what I believe was (before their early end) the home of Bert, Tom and Bill the trolls. I rummaged around nearby in the hope of finding another weapon such as Sting, but none was to be found. Not that I really need one, as I do have a number of what I consider to be legendary weapons in my possession.
One of the most pleasing views of all of Middle Earth is the sight of the three stone trolls. I was so excited the first time that I found this place. Shhh, I couldn’t help but pretend to sneak around as if I was Bilbo investigating their fire. Of course, Frodo and company also stumbled upon this landmark, and listened as Sam bellowed out a rendition of “Troll sat alone on his seat of stone”.
After lunch I continued on my quest, heading back towards the east-west road. It was today that the company heard the sounds of a rider, but were grateful that it was Glorfindel from Rivendell rather then a Nazgul. I had no such meeting myself, but there again my need is not so great.
I rested for the night just off of the road. All in all, it has been the most enjoyable of days.
