Second night in the trollshaws. I must say, I am quite liking these lush green lands better. If it wasn’t so full of trolls I think that I could quite merrily build a little hobbit hole into the hillside, and dwell here for a while at least. That said, I have not as yet seen any trolls wandering about – they used to cause me quite a panic at one point, but these days they let me merrily walk around without attacking me.
The other striking thing about these parts are the numerous ruins that sit upon most of the hilltops. It really is a reminder of the days of Arnor’s glory. Alas that all now lays in ruin.
Anyway, only a small trek for me today. At least the weather is staying kind to me, unlike the cruel rain that thrashed upon Frodo’s company. I really must change into some other clothes soon, this current garment is beginning to smell somewhat.
