A Knife in the Dark pt 4

What discomfort I am currently in!  I accidentally fell into a particularly pungent swampy area in the Midgewater Marshes and was soaked right through to my hobbit skin.  But I am a hardened adventurer so will soldier on regardless.

I was awoken from a brief slumber by bright lights in the sky, by my estimations probably coming from Weathertop direction.  It immediately had me wondering whether Gandalf had returned to Amon Sul with a little anniversary party trick.  It is probably just my imagination though.  I managed to find a nice high peak for a better view of these fireworks (I am quite short you know, even for a hobbit!) and this did cheer me up somewhat.

So all in all, a fairly quiet day.  Not too much adventure to be had in this part of the wretched swamp.  It was fairly tempting to whistle for my horse and head off for a pint at the Forsaken Inn, but it is completely off limits for me to go too far off the direction of Frodo’s journey.  Thankfully however, I have the advantage of having Rubyrae at my side, and she lovingly surprised me by venturing off to the Inn and bringing me back a nice tasty flagon of wine.  What a delightful daughter she is.

Anyway, that is quite enough from me for the day.  At least I will soon be in a position to leave these dreadful marshes behind, and start to make the trek to higher lands and the Weather Hills.

About The Pesky Dwarf Preservation Society

The Pesky Dwarf Preservation Society is a small kin located on the Gilrain server of Lord of the Rings Online. It was formed by guardian dwarf Pashrin Skullcrusher, in dedication to both the deceased petty dwarf Mim, and those dwarves of Thorin's company that narrowly avoided becoming a troll's supper. Although a small kin, it's members are busy questing and crafting, whether helping out the company of the one ring, or brewing up a state of the art cup of tea. And you don't have to be a dwarf to join in their adventures.......
